First of all if you are happy with your job; then chances are you will not want to find another job. However how can you make yourself more valuable so that your current employer does not feel that they can survive without you? We all know that there is no such thing as job security anymore; I know that in the past when my parents were working jobs it was not uncommon for them to retire from the same company after working there for over 20 years.

However most of us do no have that opportunity today. As a matter of fact most people will change their jobs over five times in their lifetime.

Here are some tips that you can become a better employee:

1. Be On Time: You should attempt to be punctual on a daily basis. Employers love to hire people who are on time everyday.

2. Do More Than Is Asked: In order for you to make your employer feel as though they can not do without you; show them that you are an initiative person and that you are willing to do more than is asked of you.

3. Resume: Even though you have a job that you love; you still want to learn how to create a resume and have it on file. You never know when you will find something that you love or pays better than your current position.
